Job Title: Asphalt Laborer

Job Description

Responsible for preparing the worksite for asphalt application, understanding and executing paving procedures to meet project specifications. Assist in pouring, smoothing, and setting asphalt on pathways and parking lots. The role requires flexibility in hours, including potential overtime during the busy season and occasional overnight work.

Hard Skills

  • Minimum 1 season of experience in a paving crew

  • OSHA 10 certification

Soft Skills

  • Willingness to work long hours and overtime

  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision

  • Flexibility with work hours including potential overnight shifts

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Solvay, New York.

Work Environment

Crew sizes vary from 2-3 to 10+ people depending on the project. Work is performed 100% outdoors in conditions that include large parking lots and non-highway roads, often in hot and sunny weather. The typical shift starts at 7:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm, with flexibility required for start and end times, including common overtime of 10-15+ hours per week during busy seasons.
