Role reports to: Director, Analytics - Innovation & Strategy

Location: Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.

Travel %: up to 10

Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $113,000 to $195,500. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.

What you will do

This is a great opportunity to join the Kenvue Global Analytics team as our Senior Manager, Analytics - External Intelligence. This role is critical to ensuring Kenvue stays connected to the external world, deeply understanding our categories and markets to stay ahead of changes and course correct investment choices where necessary. A successful candidate will have a combination of both subject matter expertise in understanding market and socio-demographic data as well as strong communication / influencing skills to influence global brand and strategy teams.

In this position, you play a key role in guiding Kenvue's journey to be the leader in Consumer Health. Working in conjunction with global strategy, our brand development teams, and technology partners, you will:
Proactively analyze Kenvue's performance across numerous data sources including share performance, economic forecasts, category forecasts, and competitor reporting to influence global and brand strategic choices.
Play a lead role in the development of company and brand 3 year operating plans, developing clear recommendations on both where to play and how to win.
Lead the definition of the business requirements for category and innovation forecasting working with local markets and then work with data science team to deliver against.


This role will be supported by one direct report and will work in close partnership with our Analytic Hub team based in India and our regional teams based in EMEA, APAC, LATAM and North America.

Key to success will be forging close relationships; internally with key stakeholders across Global strategy, Brand development and regional analytics teams - ensuring adoption of centrally developed tools and insights - as well as developing partnerships with key data providers such as NiQ, Euromonitor and financial institutions to ensure insights are based on latest data and thinking in the industry. You will be the expert and go to person for global and regional teams and as such will need to be able to look at the bigger picture, identifying patterns, priorities and scalable learnings across the globe to influence strategy and ways of working.

Key Deliverables / Responsibilities
In partnership with Global Strategy and Market teams define the 3 year operating plan process, driving clarity on how we will better leverage external insights to influence brand and company investment choices
Own global category and innovation forecasting processes working in conjunction with Data Science and data visualization teams to deliver outputs for the business.
Continuously review market landscape to ensure optimum data coverage and provide monthly summaries of external changes to leadership.
Optimize reporting, to meet evolving business needs and drive adoption through process, training and support.
Identify key insights through superior analytics and communication skills to influence the business to optimize investment.
Partner with Brand Development teams to setup reporting of innovation performance to validate and optimize forecasting process.
Provide monthly monitoring of seasonal categories and expected performance.
Management of one direct report.
Build strong relationships with global strategy, Brand development, regional and local teams.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, sciences, or economics is preferred; MBA is a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of FMCG or similar experience is desired alongside strong understanding of typical FMCG data sources - NiQ, Euromonitor, Economic indicators
Prior experience in the innovation development process and in-market performance tracking
Prior experience in innovation and category forecasting
Be a crucial partner with a proven track record of providing insights to influence leadership teams
Analytical Skills: Highly analytical with experience in analytics, capable of making logical assumptions and identifying data outliers.
Analytics Tools: Familiarity with data analytics tools and platforms such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
