Description

We are offering a contract to hire opportunity for a Legal Assistant based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. This role involves a host of responsibilities including case management, handling legal documentation, and utilizing various software tools and Microsoft applications. This role is offered on a contract basis, providing an opportunity to work in a vibrant, fast-paced setting within the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain legal calendars, ensuring all deadlines and appointments are accurately recorded and met

• Prepare legal documents such as table of contents and table of authority, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal procedures

• Utilize Case Management Software and LexisNexis for efficient organization and retrieval of case information

• Handle complaints, addressing them in a timely and professional manner

• Use Microsoft Word for drafting and editing documents, and Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Perform various billing functions, ensuring accurate invoicing and record keeping

• Oversee calendar management, scheduling meetings and appointments as necessary

• Handle all documentation processes, ensuring all legal documents are properly filed and easily accessible.

Requirements • Proficiency in using Case Management Software

• Familiarity with LexisNexis

• Experience in using Management System

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suites

• Ability to handle Billing Functions

• Experience in Briefing

• Capable of managing Calendar effectively

• Proficient in Complaint Handling

• Skilled in Documentation

• Familiarity with Calendaring

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word

• Experience as a Legal Assistant

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Understanding of legal terminology and court system

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion

• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
