Job Summary
Responsible for financial reporting & analysis, planning and forecasting, month end financial close, and ad-hoc analysis, in support of operational, commercial and corporate requirements.
Primary Duties
• Create, enhance and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly analysis including: weekly metrics, monthly KPI’s, sales & profit bridges, operations productivity analysis, monthly close packages & Board of Director packages
• Prepare and analyze annual plan for multiple cost centers or departments, and support leadership in execution of the plan
• Support the month end close process, including preparing journal entries and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts ensuring accuracy and summarizing account details
• Support the internal & external audit process by completing SOX testing requirements to ensure controls in place
• Participate in the month end close by analyzing variances to forecast / plan and clearly explain variances to business leaders
• Generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, operations, finance and other business areas
• Develop financial models and templates to provide business partners / leadership financial guidance on operational decisions
• Continuous focus on process improvement and increasing efficiency
• Support various ad hoc requests and key Finance team initiatives
• Utilize Hyperion to create forecasts and annual plan
• Work closely with other departments regarding accounting and finance activities
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Excellent MS office skills required, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate complex financial issues in simple terms, strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent financial analysis skills
• SAP, Hyperion and Business Objects experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution companies a plus
• Experience developing strategic relationships with business partners
• Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds
• Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate
Education / Experience
• B.S. in Finance, Accounting or similar field required; MBA a plus
• Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
