Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will develop, justify, and implement cost savings, renovation, and safety projects for the manufacturing facility. You will lead the operation of the plant energy systems group, production mechanic group, electrical/electronics group, and facilities maintenance group. Additionally, you will administer the preventive maintenance program, handle emergency repairs of production equipment, and manage production equipment changeovers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, justify, and implement cost savings, renovation, and safety projects.

  • Lead the operation of plant energy systems, production mechanics, electrical/electronics, and facilities maintenance groups.

  • Administer the preventive maintenance program.

  • Handle emergency repairs of production equipment and support facilities.

  • Manage production equipment changeovers.

  • Contribute to the development of methods and equipment to improve productivity and capabilities.

  • Solve operating problems.

  • Define required resources and establish action plans to ensure project progress is adequately measured and monitored.

  • Prepare data and calculations for expenditure estimates.

  • Prepare and administer labor budget and repairs and supplies budget.

  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, and customer requirements.

  • Interpret and communicate customer requirements to plant production and support groups.

  • Establish and audit PCPs, CCPs, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure customer requirements are met.

  • Review incidents of non-compliance and determine appropriate corrective actions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred

  • Associate's degree in a technical field considered

  • 3 years of experience in industrial work

  • General computer skills

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Interpersonal skills to work from a supplier-oriented function

  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Work Environment

You will work with a team of 6-8 members on 12-hour shifts following a 2-2-3 model from 5 am to 5 pm. The role includes compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, and customer requirements. The work environment promotes teamwork and adherence to standard operating procedures to ensure customer requirements are met.
