In this role, there is the opportunity to -
Assist the pharmacist with medication distribution, delivering medications, and refilling automated dispensing cabinets.
Participate in filling medication orders, maintaining patient profiles, and performing prepackaging tasks.
Prepare IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and controlled substance orders.
Conduct medication review, including computer order entry, allergy monitoring, and evaluating drug interactions.
Complete departmental documentation and billing by the end of each scheduled shift per department procedures.
Document clinical workload (manual or electronic) at the end of each shift according to department procedures.
Use information systems, robotics, and other technologies to prepare medication labels and assist with dispensing.
Demonstrate professionalism by maintaining a positive service orientation in all interpersonal interactions.
Prepare drug information responses and conduct medication use evaluations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked work environment in accordance with departmental standards.
Required
Good standing in an accredited School of Pharmacy, entering P1 year or above
Possess good communication and computer skills
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy Intern Certificate required
