In this role, there is the opportunity to -

• Assist the pharmacist with medication distribution, delivering medications, and refilling automated dispensing cabinets.

• Participate in filling medication orders, maintaining patient profiles, and performing prepackaging tasks.

• Prepare IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and controlled substance orders.

• Conduct medication review, including computer order entry, allergy monitoring, and evaluating drug interactions.

• Complete departmental documentation and billing by the end of each scheduled shift per department procedures.

• Document clinical workload (manual or electronic) at the end of each shift according to department procedures.

• Use information systems, robotics, and other technologies to prepare medication labels and assist with dispensing.

• Demonstrate professionalism by maintaining a positive service orientation in all interpersonal interactions.

• Prepare drug information responses and conduct medication use evaluations.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and adequately stocked work environment in accordance with departmental standards.

Required

• Good standing in an accredited School of Pharmacy, entering P1 year or above

• Possess good communication and computer skills

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy Intern Certificate required
