Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler/Day Bulk Tank Washer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks, along with a solid understanding of warehouse operations. This role involves handling bulk tanks, washing them, and ensuring they are ready for use. You will also assist with shipping and receiving tasks.
Responsibilities
Handle bulk tanks carrying dry goods and plastic pellets.
Wash bulk tanks, ensuring they are clean and free of debris.
Use an impact wrench to open the bottom of tanks and remove trapped pellets or debris.
Refill tanks as needed.
Operate a fork truck for material handling.
Assist with shipping and receiving operations.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 6 months experience with forklift and pallet jack.
Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse environment.
Attention to detail, especially in a chemical facility.
Mechanically inclined with experience using hand and power tools.
Ability to perform heavy lifting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Steel-toed boots/shoes are required.
No specific education requirements.
Strong attendance record.

Work Environment
This role operates in a warehouse environment with a team of about 40 employees. You will work the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm. Our Client has developed reusable polyethylene (PE) liners for trailers to reduce packaging costs, making our operations more efficient and sustainable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ravena, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
