Reference #: 4572611 THE POSITION Are you someone who thrives in an outdoor environment and prefers a hands-on approach to your work? If so, consider applying for the Semi-Skilled Laborer position at Shawnee State Park. We are seeking a positive individual dedicated to maintaining park facilities for the safe, enjoyable recreation and relaxation of our park visitors.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK The position involves performing semi-skilled tasks independently or supporting a skilled worker in routine maintenance and construction duties at Shawnee State Park. Responsibilities include general housekeeping, building maintenance, ground maintenance, and assisting with site preparation and landscaping. Additional tasks include cleaning restrooms, offices, and buildings daily, mowing grass, cutting firewood, picking up litter, moving materials, and making minor repairs. Furthermore, the role involves operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment, assisting park visitors, completing necessary forms, and supporting skilled maintenance staff in various repair and construction tasks. Safety and proper use of tools and equipment are essential, with any issues reported to lead workers or supervisors promptly.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position without benefits, 37.5 hours per week This position will work five (5) days in a seven (7) day a week operation and may be scheduled to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
