Sports Camp Assistant Coaches (Counselors) are responsible for assisting the Head Coach(es) with the day-to-day operation of Skidmore Summer Sports Camps. Working as a member of a team, Assistant Coaches will supervise groups of local children ranging in age from 5 to 18 years participating in one of 20 day camps including, but not limited to: basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, lacrosse, field hockey, swimming, softball, ice hockey and rowing. Summer Sports Camps are led by Skidmore College Coaches. The Skidmore Department of Athletics boasts National Championships, Conference Championships, NCAA Division III All-Americans and CoSIDA Academic All-Americans. Sports Camp staff positions offer the successful candidates an opportunity to serve as part of a team and gain the relevant knowledge, skills and experience of working in quality sports camps for children. This is a temporary, full-time position during the summer months.

Counselors must be 16 years old, mature and responsible individuals that are creative, fun, energetic, and team-oriented. Experience in the relevant sport and working with young children preferred. Employment is contingent upon the acceptable results of a pre-employment background check.
