Ninth Planet is a growing beverage co-packer in Saratoga Springs, NY looking to add hardworking individuals to our team for our opening of Lead Line Operator.

Schedule and compensation:
* Tuesday-Friday| 9:00 AM-8:00 PM | 40 hours per week + overtime| $21.15 per hr | * benefits package that includes dental, employer paid medical, 401k with employer match and generous paid time off.

The Lead Line Operator plays a crucial role in supporting the Associate Manager of Production in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the production line. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Lead Line Operator serves as a supervisor and operator, while providing hands-on leadership and technical expertise to the production team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the smooth execution of daily production activities and maintain high-quality standards in the craft beverage industry.

Responsibilities: * Assist in training new production members on operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures. * Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the production team. * Collaborate with the Associate Manager of Production to coordinate production schedules, changeovers, and equipment maintenance. * Ensure smooth transitions between production runs and optimize workflow efficiency. * Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. * Identify and address potential safety hazards or issues promptly. * Effectively communicate with the production team, cross-functional teams, and management to ensure clear and efficient communication channels. * Collaborate closely with the Associate Manager of Production to align operational goals and address any production-related challenges.

Qualifications: * Experience working in a brewery, winery, distillery, or food and beverage production environment is strongly preferred. * Familiarity with CIP processes and experience with KHS fillers is highly desirable. * Tech-savvy with proficiency in using Google Suites and in-house communication and record-keeping apps. * Strong mechanical aptitude * Strong work ethic and good attendance * Attention to detail * Experience managing a team is helpful

Work Schedule and Benefits:

This position requires working at our Saratoga Springs facility on a 9:00PM -8:00PM, Tuesday-Friday with occasional nights and weekends as needed. The salary for this role is $21.15 per hour or approximately $44,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, employer paid medical, paid time off, paid holidays and a retirement plan with employer match.
