Certifications/Qualifications:

Current clerk or on Civil Service eligible list preferred

• Candidates must be in title or on approved Clerk Civil Service list; if not, the candidate will be appointed provisionally and be required to take the exam once announced and score in the top three

• Working knowledge of office terminology, procedures and equipment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other clerical software

• Clerical aptitude, mental alertness, neatness, accuracy, tact and courtesy

• Ability to work in a fast-paced office and maintain confidentiality

• Strong communication and organization skills

• Ability to get along well with others
