    The New Jewish Home, Sarah Neuman campus in Westchester, is currently seeking a Full Time Day Shift Environmental Service Supervisor (EVS Supervisor) to join their team!

    Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Environmental Services,

    performs a variety of supervisory functions. Supervise and train staff in cleaning care, and

    maintenance of: resident/patient units, and ancillary areas. Ability to inventory and issue supplies

    and must be knowledgeable in all areas of the operations.

    Reports To: Director of Plant Operations

    Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Housekeeping Staff, exercising direct supervision over the staff and units,

    staff residences and other patient areas to be cleaned.

  • Plans cleaning projects and makes daily staff assignments and monthly schedules,

    providing sufficient staff to accomplish cleaning tasks.

  • Trains staff in proper cleaning procedures and use of new equipment and supplies;

    assesses their competency annually.

  • Coordinates housekeeping set-up and break down in a timely manner with other

    departments.

  • Responsible for utilizing department staff to maintain cleanliness in all buildings and

    resident areas, for preventing the spread of infection by proper cleaning and

    sanitizing and handling soiled and/or contaminated linens in a safe and efficient

    manner.

  • Participates in Environment of Care rounds as per set schedule.

  • Must complete Annual In service training on mandatory e-learning.

  • Must participate in mandated programs by the New York State Department of Health

    and the Governor.

  • Conduct quality assurance audits daily to ensure room cleanliness.

    Job Qualifications

  • High School Graduate/GED required. Associate or Baccalaureate degree in

    health care management preferred.

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of prior supervisory experience in a healthcare related

    field.
