Metaldyne Sinter Forged Products, LLC has openings for Product Launch Engineers at its facility in St. Mary's, Pennsylvania. Job duties include:

1). Serves as  technical expert for product applications, including Oil Jets, Exciter Rings, Shift Sleeves, and VVT and other timing components.   2). Product design and development with customer before and after Part Production Approval Process, including process routings, control plan and Failure Mode Effect Analysis development, process instructions, and part design.   3). Responsible for the prototype and Part Production Approval Process, including product launches,  builds and for the life of the program - this includes capacity studies, creation of timing plans, control plan and FMEA development, and capability studies.   4). Develops customer and supplier relationships through coordinating engineering changes, program timing, packaging, shipping, and commercial issues dealing with multiple department throughout the customer/supplier's facility.   5). Coordinates  quality concerns and production issues at customer locations for Variable Valve Timing, transfer case products, and other powder metal components.   6). Responsible for developing, training personnel and maintaining end of line inspection, SP12, Materials Review Board and GP12 on automation and CNC machining cells.  

Position requires:  Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or foreign equivalent education, and one year experience working in the Powdered Metals field in the position of Machining Quality Coordinator, Quality Engineer, Resident Engineer, Customer Liaison Representative, or other Engineering positions. One year experience is required in each of the following:

  1. Providing solutions to improve production capacity and quality. 
  2. Coordinator in product launches dedicated to on time delivery of samples.
  3. Plan and train personnel at end of line inspection, SP12, Materials Review Board and GP12.  
  4. Work as a liaison between the plant and customer/supplier. 

Experience may be obtained concurrently.
