Summary Description :

The Associate Product Manager will work closely with the product management team to maintain, update and create customer supporting literature. They will be highly involved in daily reporting, literature updates, project management, product data management and fulfilment of sales aides.

Close cross-functional collaboration withing Rockwood, Glass Solutions, and the Architectural Accessories Group is required. This candidate will be involved in the development of the branding efforts, marketing strategy, positioning and messaging of all products. They will be expected to aid in the NPD process and help lead projects from inception to launch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Graphic Design, Marketing, and Customer Service in the development and maintenance of technical marketing materials including product catalogs, price books, instruction sheets, product presentations, cut sheets, technical sheets, and order forms.

  • Assist in product and catalog branding efforts and conformity to ASSA ABLOY standards.

  • Create product information on new and existing products to be used by the Marketing Communications team.

  • Manage digital photography.

  • Attend digital trainings as required. Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing & Communications team to ensure that product category is properly represented.

  • Assist with product management sample inventory. Process and inspect all sales samples requests and sales kits.

  • Assist with ordering and managing distribution of promotional items.

    Business Analysis: Market trends analysis regarding competitive activity & threats, business climate and potential company opportunities.

  • Run various reports as requested.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Graphic Designer, and Product Data Management team to update price books and implement changes to ERP system.

    New Product Development : Support new product development efforts from concept definition through product launch.

  • Perform research/competitor analysis as requested.

  • Create/Modify PowerPoints to showcase updates in project movement.

  • Prepare for, lead, take notes, and follow up on assigned meetings.

  • Support NPD team as needed.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    Educational Requirements, Skills and Abilities:

  • Energetic team player with passion for completion of projects and tasks.

  • Associates degree in Product Management, Marketing, or Business. BA/BS degree preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • 1-5 years product management, marketing, or office experience

  • Experience in door hardware preferred

  • Ability to be promoted

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

  • Ability to influence and work through cross-functional teams without formal authority.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively
