Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to become a part of our team located in ROCHESTER, New York. As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable and receivable

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate

• Maintaining and updating the general ledger and journal entries

• Ensuring the completion of month end close procedures accurately and on time

• Proficiently using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks

• Implementing and maintaining general accounting systems and procedures

• Assisting in other accounting projects as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processing and management

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and maintaining accurate records

• Ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

• Familiarity with General Ledger management and operations

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Demonstrated skills in conducting Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

• Broad knowledge and understanding of General Accounting principles and practices
