Description

FUNCTION:The Urban League of Rochester, NY, Inc. (ULR) seeks to build a more equitable Rochester by creating supports and services for populations that have been historically marginalized. The Entrepreneurship and Wealth Building Division is seeking a motivated and flexible Program Coordinator – Outreach Specialist to join the Reimagine Program team. Reimagine Workforce is a state funded entrepreneurship training program supporting new and aspiring small business owners throughout Western NY and the Finger Lakes. The Program Coordinator – Outreach Specialist is pivotal in recruiting new clients/students and creating synergies with diverse organizations to increase program participation and community partnerships. This position is a temporary, part-time opportunity ending June 2025 (an opportunity for an extension may be available based on performance) and offers a unique chance to contribute to business development and entrepreneurship education in our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Active outreach to diverse organizations across the Finger Lakes Region to market the Reimagine Workforce Program.

  2. Work and travel across the community of Rochester, Western NY, and the Finger Lakes Region to recruit clients/students and form partnerships.

  3. Accurate reporting and data collection for program marketing, partnership reporting, and grant reporting.

  4. Recruit students to the program and assisting with intakes and initial appointment scheduling with other program staff.

  5. Perform data entry tasks pertaining to the Reimagine Program.

  6. Work on projects that further ULR’s vision for a more equitable Rochester.

  7. Attend Urban League of Rochester functions and events.

  8. Work a varying schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.

  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

· 1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, recruitment, or business development.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to engage effectively with clients, partners, and potential partners.

· Excellent customer service.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, able to meet deadlines.

· Must adhere to ULR’s non-discrimination policies.

· Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and clients with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles, and sexual orientation, and to treat each individual with respect and dignity.

· Access to reliable transportation.

· Must possess a current valid Driver’s License.

Salary Description

$21 - $22.50 per hour
