Job Responsibilities:

  • Use data to manage the strategic development of faculty-led study abroad, RIT’s largest type of study abroad program: set program goals, identify new potential opportunities and overseas partners, recruit faculty, create and refine policies and procedures to make faculty-led process more efficient and effective.

  • Manage the operational and administrative activities required for effective and efficient delivery of RIT Faculty-Led study abroad programming including: organization of faculty-led program proposal process, developing tools to assist faculty in program development, creating program budgets, negotiating contracts, assessing programs and conducting faculty training.

  • Manage student application process for all faculty-led programs which includes developing custom application materials, maintaining organization and accuracy of data, working with database vendor, billing students and managing reporting and metrics.

  • Provide administrative support and coordination of the marketing, recruiting, events, advising, processing and tracking related to faculty applying for prestigious international fellowships like the Fulbright Scholar program.

  • Provides assistance as needed with office events and communication in support of student and faculty mobility.

  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years experience.

  • Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, International Studies, Business, Psychology, Anthropology, Communications or related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish productive and professional relationships with faculty and global partners.

  • Extreme attention-to-detail and ability to follow difficult tasks to completion.

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in project management. In particular: decision-making, organization, flexibility, prioritization, problem-solving and time management.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills for a variety of audiences and stakeholders. Especially strong written communication skills across cultural perspectives.

  • Highly motivated, energetic and creative.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a productive and supportive member of a small team.

  • Knowledge of higher education and study abroad environment especially on important topics such as diversity, accessibility, funding, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 3-5 years experience working in higher education environment.

  • Experience in career development or coaching.

  • Marketing, recruiting, sales experience.

  • Knowledge of student advising theories and effective strategies.

  • Skills in data analytics, statistics, and excel.

Job Summary:

The Education Abroad and International Fellowships faculty-led Program Manager oversees RIT’s largest type of study abroad program with over 20 programs and 250+ participants each year. This person is responsible for using data from benchmarking and assessment analysis to guide the strategic development of faculty-led programming including setting participation goals, identifying new overseas partners and opportunities and recruiting faculty to lead programs. The Program Manager will develop new and refine existing policies and procedures to make the administration of faculty-led programs more effective and efficient. In close collaboration with faculty, overseas partners, and critical campus partners like Risk Management, Student Financial Services, Registrar, Department of Access Services, Conduct office, etc. the Program Manager will support all aspects of program development including, budget development, credit allocation/registration, faculty compensation and reimbursement, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, health and safety preparation, faculty training, student recruitment, health and safety preparation and program assessment. The Program Manager also supports faculty applying for prestigious international fellowships like the Fulbright Scholar award through recruiting, advising, events, administration and assessment. Finally, you will participate in in other office events, projects, research, and communication in support of student and faculty mobility.
