Job Description:

Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career? Robert Half is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team and support a variety of clients with their financial needs. As a Bookkeeper, you will be an essential part of the financial team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.

  • Prepare and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning.

  • Respond to client inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals when necessary.

  • Provide support to the accounting team and other departments as needed.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
