International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Apprentice or Journeyperson Painter in Rochester, New York

Order#: NY1474276
Apprentice or Journeyperson Painter

Magnificent bridges. Gleaming ships. As an industrial painter, you'll be the one who makes these structures shine. You will work on every aspect of coating infrastructure, including bridges, water towers and other structures. You will help protect our infrastructure from corrosion and our environment from hazardous materials like lead. Since this trade involves working at extreme heights and in enclosed spaces, you'll need specialized training in safety, including the use of platforms, scaffolding and rigging.

No experience? No problem! Our apprenticeship program offers you the chance to "earn while you learn" through training classes and employment with industrial painting contractors. Your apprenticeship will include every aspect of coating infrastructure like bridges and water towers, ship hulls, factories and other concrete and metal structures. You will become an expert in state-of-the-art coating materials and their application, and help protect the environment by mastering the removal and disposal of old coatings that often contain hazardous materials like lead.

We offer competitive wage rates, with guaranteed annual raises and an benefit package that includes health care, pension and training benefits that allow you to build a career you can be proud of.
