Position Title:
Admissions Operations Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
Admissions Operations Specialist utilize multiple information systems including Slate, Campus Solutions, OnBase, Avaya, and five9:
Customer Service Functions
Provide assistance by phone and email to prospective students, their families, and college counselors
Participate in select in-person RIT Open House events hosted by the Undergraduate Admissions Office
Data and Records Management Functions and Admissions Decision Processing
Verify and update admissions records to ensure correct data for first year, transfer, and foreign national applications
Process admissions data and application decisions at various stages of the admissions cycle
Scan, index, and load documents received both electronically or by mail within Slate to the appropriate record (including transcripts, test scores and other application documents)
Identify and merge duplicate records in Slate
Support RIT global campuses with application loading and updates
Administrative Support Functions
Process application fees and enrollment deposits
Assist with the portfolio submission process for the College of Art & Design
Provide support to the Undergraduate Admissions team in various recruitment initiatives

Required Qualifications:
2-5 years related office experience with significant telephone communication and recordkeeping skills
Must have strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Must be highly flexible and able work in a fast paced, high energy work environment that emphasizes measurable work outcomes to meet institute deadlines
Demonstrate ability to work with confidential information, which is highly sensitive and personal in nature
Must be able to work confidently with desktop applications, databases, and networked information systems
Able to work independently and demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing demands
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years’ experience working in Undergraduate Admissions and with Slate, PeopleSoft and OnBase applications.
