University of Rochester 39200 - Geriatric Psychiatry Unit - Assistant Nurse Manager, Inpatient in Rochester, New York
Responsibilities
3-9200 is an 11-bed geriatric psychiatry unit. Join a team of nurses in developing best practice models for safety as well as promotion of cognitive function and physical health. Practice in an active program for patients with proactive discharge planning through collaborative efforts with referral agencies. Will be responsible for daily operations/scheduling. Onboarding, mentoring, succession planning, evaluations/ corrective action of nursing staff including promoting an environment that prioritizes shared governance. Monitoring and enhancing patient and staff satisfaction are core responsibilities. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal, assessment, critical thinking and communication skills. Flexibility, enthusiastic and willing to care for a varied patient population in a changing environment a must! Good effective communication skills. Having the ability to work with an interdisciplinary team is necessary. He/she should demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills. In addition, he/she must possess clinical expertise in psychiatric nursing in order to serve as a resource and role model. BSN required.
Qualifications
Requires a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years or RN experience. This position is a member of the unit/service leadership team, demonstrates the ability to develop standards of care, unit/service goals, and objectives, and provides consultation and expertise in delivering patient care.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $45.22 - $59.75 Hourly
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
