Description
Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York — plus multiple primary and specialty care physician practices locations, including The Heart Center, a leading provider of cardiology care, and two urgent care offices. Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, including the Thompson House for rehabilitation and skilled nursing services, and the Home Care organizations.
SUMMARY: Development and implementation of comprehensive hospital lactation program. Provide or coordinate educational programs for staff and patients. Identify lactation management strategies. Act as resource for nursing staff, physicians and breastfeeding families. Establish and maintain standard of care for breastfeeding families through quality improvement activities. Population served based on scope of services in the department.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum two year college degree or diploma required.
Current NYS RN license
Experience: 3 years maternal child heath & 3 years as a lactation consultant IBCLC (international board certified lactation consultant) preferred.
