POSITION SUMMARY:

As the Vice President of Global Reimbursement, Health Economics, and Market Access, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful market penetration and adoption of Teleflex medical devices, with a focus on the Interventional Urology portfolio of products. You will lead a team responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize reimbursement, demonstrate value proposition through health economic analyses, and navigate market access challenges. This position reports to the Vice President of Global Customer Experience with dotted line reporting to the Teleflex Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reimbursement Strategy: Develop and implement reimbursement strategies to secure optimal coverage and reimbursement for our medical devices across various payer segments, including government, commercial, and managed care organizations.

• Health Economics: Participate in the development and execution of health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) studies to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of our products. Utilize health economic models and real-world evidence to support market access and reimbursement decisions.

• Market Access: Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, marketing, clinical affairs, and regulatory teams to navigate market access challenges and ensure product access for patients. Develop and execute market access plans tailored to regional and global market dynamics.

• Pricing Strategy: Partner with commercial teams to develop pricing strategies that balance value proposition with market dynamics and competitive landscape. Monitor pricing trends and conduct pricing analyses to inform pricing decisions.

• Commerical Enablement: In collaboration with commercial leadership, set strategies for engagement with clinical and economic customers that positively influence business objectives. Oversee development and delivery of reimbursement sales training programs and customer-facing reimbursement materials and programs.

• Support Government Affairs and health policy representatives through the interpretation of legislative and policy changes that impact reimbursement and market access in partnership with Medical Affairs. Partner on the engagement with government stakeholders and industry associations to advocate for policies that support patient access to our products.

• Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the reimbursement, health economics, and market access team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including payers, providers, policymakers, and advocacy groups. Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and meetings to enhance our reputation and influence in the market.

• Budget Management: Oversee the departmental budget and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with business objectives.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and ethical standards in all reimbursement, health economics, and market access activities.

• Ethics: Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) in health economics, health policy, public health, business administration, or related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in reimbursement, health economics, market access, or related areas within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.

• Proven track record of developing and executing successful reimbursement and market access strategies for medical devices or pharmaceutical products.

• Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.

• Expertise in health economic modeling, outcomes research methodologies, and real-world evidence generation.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Certification or experience in code processes and sets including CPT, ICD, DRG, APC, etc.

• M&A experience

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through cross-functional collaboration.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to reimbursement and market access activities.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $300,000 -345,000,however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
