*As a Maintenance Technician *you will provide general maintenance of building sites, including minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting. You will also perform lawn care and snow removal.

 You will...

• Be available to provide maintenance services at BCC sites as needed.
• Ensure the physical integrity of properties owned and/or managed by BCC by monitoring sites for basic repairs and maintenance, lawn care and snow and ice removal.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance on all BCC owned and/or managed properties.
• Inspect and prepare apartments for occupancy.
• Ensure trash is ready for pick up on assigned days.

To qualify for the position, you will need...

• The ability to use hand tools 
• The ability to drive and travel
• A valid PA Driver's License 
• Availability throughout the day to provide maintenance services when needed, including evenings and weekends. Approximately 10 hours per week.

*Preferred candidates will have *two (2) years of experience in general maintenance of building sites, including minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall, preferred. 

*Physical Requirements: *

• SEEING: Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use computer.
• HEARING: Must be able to communicate to clients, vendors and coworkers.
• MOBILITY: Must have mobility to move about the agency. Must have mobility to move about the community. Must be able to climb and perform work from ladder. Must be able to bend and stand for periods of time.
• LIFTING/PULLING/PUSHING: Must be able to lift and pull up to 50 pounds.
• OTHER: Must be able to write and use technology.

• Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History, PA State Child Abuse, and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment; however, a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.
• Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure.
• Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
• This position may require you to operate BCC's company car or transport clients, so you must provide a 10-Year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a valid Driver's License
