Job Title: Set Up Mechanic

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Set Up Mechanic to handle the setup and operation of grinding machines, perform first piece inspections, and ensure production rates are met with high-quality standards. Responsibilities include programming and setting up Precision OD & Centerless Grinding Machines, interpreting complex part drawings, reducing costs once in production, using various metrology methods to verify part specifications, developing tooling and gauging, troubleshooting during setup and run cycles, working with the Contract review team for estimates, and maintaining safety and procedural standards.

Hard Skills

• Programming and setup of Precision OD & Centerless Grinding Machines

• Ability to read and interpret complex part drawings

• Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and rulers

• Experience in tooling and gauging development

• Troubleshooting of machines and feeder systems

Soft Skills

• Mechanical inclination for machine breakdown and setup

• Collaborative skills to work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams

• Ability to ensure daily output and maintain schedule adherence

• Proactive in maintaining safety standards

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rahway, New Jersey.

Work Environment

Manufacturing facility with multiple departments.
