Proposed Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with flexibility.

Position Summary

The Finance Coordinator will assist the finance department with overall clerical functions with a focus on cash deposits and invoicing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scanning & electronic filing of documents for finance

  • Data entry in Excel, Great Plains, and other systems

  • Processing of patient & insurance refunds

  • Weekly AP check mailing

  • Prepare & transport bank deposits to Glens Falls National Bank

  • Gather VISA credit card transaction back up & follow up on missing support

  • Reconcile quarterly petty cash & health center cash drawers

  • Daily cash receipt batches including, but not limited to care for co-workers, coffee, health center deposits & other receivables

  • Creation & distribution of contract invoices

  • Summarize data in an organized manner on an ad hoc basis

  • Assistance in covering finance positions during vacations.

    Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or excess of two years related experience in accounting functions; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, organized, legible manner

  • Ability to establish, build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with co-workers, leadership, auditors and outside vendors/consultants

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with speed and accuracy; ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed in a fast-paced environment to meet strict deadlines

  • Must possess the ability to work independently as well as recognize when to seek assistance.

    The pay rate for this position is $20-$22.50/hour and is based on experience.
