The Executive Director of Risk Assessments will be a key leader within our organization, responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our risk assessment practices for healthcare compliance, enterprise risk management and third party risk. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in risk management, process design, and effective communication.

The Executive Director of Risk Assessments will play a critical role in enhancing and updating risk assessment methodologies, models, inputs, requirements, and processes within our organization. This position will be responsible for training primary owners and business stakeholders on how to execute the risk assessment process effectively. Additionally, the Executive Director will oversee the deployment of risk assessments through applicable tools, monitor their performance and completion, and facilitate calibration processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team that is accountable for risk assessment and analysis related to healthcare compliance risk, enterprise risk and third-party risk.

  • Design, enhance and update risk assessment methodologies, models, inputs, requirements, and processes to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with industry best practices.

  • Educate primary owners and business stakeholders on how to execute the risk assessment process, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent and accurate assessments.

  • Oversee due diligence of third parties for C&E as required.

  • Strategically deploy risk assessments through applicable tools, leveraging technology to streamline and automate the process where possible.

  • Oversee and monitor the performance and completion of risk assessments, ensuring adherence to established timelines and quality standards.

  • Facilitate and manage risk assessment calibration processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across different teams and business units.

  • Design, develop, and distribute comprehensive reports on risk assessment findings to designated stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Requires deep expertise in healthcare compliance monitoring and remediation, enterprise risk management and third party risk management, typically gained through at least 15 years of experience in related roles.

  • Risk Management: Possess a deep understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively in the context of risk assessments.

  • Process Design: Demonstrate expertise in designing and optimizing processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability in risk assessment activities.

  • Communications: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex risk assessment concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Executive Presence / Influence: Exhibit strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization, driving alignment and support for risk assessment initiatives.

  • Works independently / with minimal direction.
