The Role

As part of our expanding US Medical Affairs team, Genmab is seeking a Director, US Medical Affairs Strategy & Operations. The Director will support the US Medical Affairs Leadership Team across both hematology and solid tumors. They will play a pivotal role in strategic operations across the US market, including product launches & development efforts, leadership meetings & team culture, maintaining fiscal responsibility & advancing innovation.

This is a hybrid role that requires being onsite in Princeton, NJ 60% of the time

Responsibilities
Act as a key advisor to the VP and Head of US Medical Affairs, the US Medical Affairs Leadership Team (US Medical Strategy, US Field), and other senior leaders within the organization. Represent US Medical Affairs in external and internal forums, enhancing the visibility and impact of the organization.
Work closely with other departments, including Global Medical, Commercialization, R&D, Finance and Human Resources, to ensure alignment and integration of US Medical Affairs strategies across the organization. Partner closely with our alliance partners to advance objectives. Facilitate effective decision-making and operational planning.
Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives within US Medical Affairs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation to meet strategic goals.
Oversee day-to-day operations within US Medical Affairs, ensuring smooth and efficient function. Provide insights and guidance on strategic decisions and operational challenges.
Manage the operational planning, including process documentation, improvement initiatives, and the execution of key medical affairs activities. Facilitate cross-functional meetings and communication to enhance project outcomes and organizational synergy.
Partner with the US Medical Affairs leadership team to ensure high performance team culture and talent development.
Monitor and manage the budget and resources of US Medical Affairs, ensuring optimal allocation and fiscal responsibility. Partner with Finance leads in delivering budget forecasts and reports.


Requirements
At least 8 years of executive-level experience, with extensive project management experience in a medical or commercial operations area within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sector.
Demonstrated leadership skills and a proven track record of strategic planning & execution and collaboration across departments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present information.
Strong understanding of commercialization and corporate governance processes.
Experience & proven ability to influence a high performing leadership team & drive culture and team building initiatives
Ability to challenge status quo, drive change & implement efficient practices, working collaboratively across a matrixed organization
Advanced degree in medical sciences or a related field is strongly preferred.
Proficient in MS Office and program management software.
Willingness to travel 30% of the time.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$206,250.00---$343,750.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
