Cedar Crest is a beautiful 130-acre continuing care retirement community nestled in the Ramapo Mountains in Pompton Plains, a neighborhood of Morris County, New Jersey. We are hiring a Senior Recruiter to recruit, research, interview, screen, and refer top candidates for job openings. This individual will collaborate with management across multiple departments to fill positions in a timely manner.

How you will make an impact:

  • Facilitate the recruiting process, including developing and implementing recruitment programs.

  • Confers with management, supervisors, and scheduling department to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.

  • Develops recruitment and retention programs and monitors budgets to attract applicants to fill specific job openings.

  • Analysis of recruitment situations and develops recruitment strategies.

  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.

  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing retention statistics and making recommendations for improvement.

  • Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings

  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, salary requirements, and provide information about the organization and position.

  • Partners with the HR Managers in writing and placing job advertising in various media and gives input on the development of recruitment materials

  • Develops and coordinates internal job posting programs and writes job postings.

  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.

  • Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities

  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.

  • Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants

  • Performs reference and background checks on applicants

  • Works closely with departments during new employee orientation

  • Maintain personal contact with new employees through the new hire period.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferred or 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Related experience in recruiting preferred.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience starting at $78000 per year
