37.5 hours per week. This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide program (NY HELPS). For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, if they meet the below NY HELPS minimum qualifications.NY HELPS Non-Competitive Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor's or higher degree**Your degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. You would interview customers to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining a complete work history including job experience, education, skills, salary ranges and job preferences. You would identify barriers to employment and develop solutions to these barriers. Intensive job placement assistance is key through developing skills-based resume, successful employment interview coaching, providing continuing job leads, conducting employment referrals and advocating for the job seeker when applying for a job.
