A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FAMILY WORKER SITE DIRECTOR

You have total responsibility for the administration of the Center as outlined in the Head Start performance standards for our organization. You supervise the Head Start staff. In conjunction the family and community partnership director, you oversee the family service processes.

Your style of management fosters teamwork, respect, accountability, and trust. You plan staff training and offer support as needed. On a monthly basis, you run center meetings sharing pertinent information and report on Center activities.

You serve as the liaison with families and assist with the recruitment and enrollment of children. Additionally, you assist families in utilizing community resources. With your calm and caring demeanor, you communicate with parents and teach them the importance of program planning and participation with their children. You get great satisfaction out of being a part of helping meet the overall needs of preschool children and their families, which is why you're perfect for this position!

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Human Services or a related field

  • 1 year or more of supervisory experience

  • Experience working with children, pregnant women, and families

  • Current CPR certification

    WORK SCHEDULE

    This full-time position typically works Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 35 hours/week.
