​The Maintenance Supervisor 2nd Shift is responsible for the delivery of preventive and corrective maintenance services at the Collagen Manufacturing Center (CMC) in a manner of uninterrupted supply chain application and GMP inspectional readiness. Maintenance services are delivered on 3 shifts on weekdays, and 1 shift on weekends. The incumbent is responsible for delivery, continuous improvement, and optimization of maintenance activities to ensure that facilities and manufacturing equipment operate in a manner of optimizing Asset Life Cycle Management and sustainability. Maintenance services are provided on a 24/5 basis with 1-2 weekend shifts. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance activities protect the identity, quality, durability, reliability, safety, and effectiveness of medical devices and, thereby, protect patient safety.

  • Safety - Ensures that all team members receive training from Integra LifeSciences’ Safety department, and are knowledgeable and compliant regarding safety procedures, policies, permits, practices, and awareness. Initiates and leads accident, near miss reviews and incident notifications. Ensures proper housekeeping procedures are maintained.

  • Quality - Responsible for team’s compliance and meeting the quality standards as defined by Integra’s SOPs, GMPs, Global Quality Standards, local and procedures, where applicable. Plays an active role in Root Cause Analyses and in the resolution of Deviation, Non-Conformances, CAPAs, and Change Controls.

  • Manage People Effectively - Responsible for managing staffing, training and daily maintenance operations across shifts up to 7 days a week, including attendance, overtime, operational issues, talent management, performance management, development planning and reporting of results. Also interviews job candidates, completes performance reviews, and justifies promotions or disciplinary actions (as appropriate).

  • Maintenance Supervisor Excellence -

  • Imparts a culture of 6S and continuous improvement in all maintenance activities.

  • Ensures quality of Maintenance execution.

  • Schedules preventive maintenance in coordination with development and manufacturing departments.

  • Receives work tickets (PM and CM) from the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler and assigns staff according to the skillsets required.

  • Ensures that spare parts are issued in sufficient quantity for mechanics to complete their tasks.

  • Oversees work performed to ensure quality and timeliness.

  • Reviews executed Work Orders ensuring completeness, appropriateness, and follow up actions, if needed.

  • Partnering with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to issue T&T reports to assess maintenance effectiveness and to look for continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Escalates continuous opportunity or problematic issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Ensures that sufficient, proper tools and measurement devices are available to mechanics.

  • Ensures the full vertical alignment of maintenance activities including scheduling within manufacturing schedules, availability of trained personnel, spare parts availability, and completion of requisite paperwork.

  • Responsible for Team Training and Development and ensuring team is current on training prior to assigning work.

  • Provides specialized training to improve the maintenance staff’s talent pool and to keep abreast of new technologies.

  • Removes barriers that impact team performance.

  • Investigates Team deviations as needed.

  • Owns incident reporting, investigating, and corrective measures.

  • Must be available to work during July and December shutdowns.

  • Must use PPE inclusive of gloves, goggles, face shields, head coverings, full head and body suits, and respirators where appropriate and whenever in the Clean Spaces.

  • Actively participates in cross-functional teams addressing Deviations, Non-Conformances, and CAPAs, as required.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Degree, relevant technical science, or relevant military experience equivalent.

  • 5+ years Maintenance management experience in FDA-regulated development. Experienced in manufacturing facilities using clean (ISO 8-5) environments is preferable.

  • Adept at maintenance optimization, continuous improvement, tracking and trending, and tailoring procedures to enhance facilities and equipment uptime.

  • Knowledgeable in 6S execution in all aspects of maintenance services.

  • Knowledgeable in various off-the-shelf software applications (MS Office, Project) and customized systems (CMMS).

  • Knowledgeable in setting and following budgets.

  • Demonstrated abilities to enhance staff talent and careers through mentorship and training.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service.
