DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Penstan Supply is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Employee at their Pittsburgh, PA location .

About the Role: You will: * Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material. * Stock and maintain the warehouse; and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure. * Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. * Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle. * Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations. * Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier. * Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely. * Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels. * Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets. * Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues. * Assist co-workers in servicing customers.

About You: * High school diploma or equivalent * 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience * Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred

Our ideal candidate will also: * Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills. * Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center. * Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. * Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers. * Know of, be able to apply and practice safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment. * Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center. * Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations. * Read, write, speak, and understand English. * Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
