UPMC is looking for a full-time Team Leader - Distribution to support our Distribution Center located in the South Side of Pittsburgh.
This position works Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. No weekends!
Purpose:
Oversees the distribution of supplies and equipment. Ensures that all communications with department user groups are conducted in a professional and service oriented manner.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the evaluation, discipline, and development of the distribution staff.
Manage schedule of 8-15 hourly employees using Microsoft Office products.
Know and use proper body techniques
Develop and maintain communication and organizational skills essential for the efficient operation of the Materials Management department.
Ensures to maintain an error ratio less than .05% on their respective team through proper direction on put-away and/or picking.
Maintain awareness of any change in department/hospital policies and procedures.
Ensuring quality at the end line staging area as a dock master effectively directing product to its final destination.
Directly responsible for completing 30% of highest producing team members duties.
Continue to act as a distribution member in all aspects of the distribution function.
Ensure that all distribution equipment is properly maintained.
Direct use of ERP based system to adjust dollar value and quantities of inventory.
Deliver product to hospitals operating 26 foot box trucks
Operate heavy lift equipment at heights above 25 feet.
Ensures to conform to the departmental attendance policy established November 17, 2009 by UPMC Supply Chain Management.
Demonstrate knowledge of the department's inventory platform.
Provides direction to each team member ensuring cleanliness standards are upheld within the warehouse.
Assign work to each shift employee and monitor completion of assigned duties.
Actively participates towards maintaining the overall budgeted goal of $.75 per line through productivity, reduction in overtime, and best safety practices.
Maintain DOT regulated licensing requirements.
Direct use of a laptop computer operating a Management Service Console to control voice directed picking operations.
Successfully complete all equipment/safety training yearly or as required by the distribution center supervisor.
High school diploma, or a 4 year college degree from an accredited university.
Preferred at least one year previous supervisory experience.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Must be able to effectively manage a shift of hourly employees ranging in ability.
Must be able to communicate and follow oral and written instructions.
Work history must have evidence of dependability.
Job requires individual with no work limitations.
Must be able to rotate shifts that provide 24 hours per day, 7 days per week coverage.
This position may involve lifting, moving, pushing and pulling items that can potentially be between 50 and 100 lbs Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Driver's License
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
DOT Medical Card Clearance with renewal
