Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh Systems Project Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R306 Position Summary As a project management resource, the Systems Project Manager is assigned to projects of varying complexity and is expected to manage one to many projects at a given time. This individual will coordinate IT projects and ensure Bank resources are assigned appropriate tasks to achieve project objectives, compile project status reports, manage project schedules and meetings, and identify and resolve technical and business challenges associated with assigned projects. The Systems Project Manager will identify and analyze solution requirements, define and manage project scope, requirements, risks, budgets and deliverables while coordinating project activities and ensures all project phases are documented appropriately.

Primary Success Factors

The Systems Project Manager will demonstrate the ability to:

Manage projects according to the current Project Management Methodology, including scope, schedule, risk, and resource management.

Collaborate with appropriate working team members to document estimates and project delivery dates, including a cost-benefit analysis where applicable

Keep project schedules accurate and updated on a weekly basis.

Communicate status to all stakeholders in a timely, clear and concise manner.

Assure necessary business analysis functions are accomplished such as documenting requirements, testing application functionality, and documenting process and data flow.

Develop a basic understanding of the application and the business domain related to the project.

Develop a basic understanding of the architecture and main components involved with the project.

Utilize Microsoft Project Server for storing and versioning project artifacts.

Track all time spent on projects by accurately recording status in the time entry system.

Renegotiate priorities with appropriate stakeholders when conflicts arise.

Accurately manage the project budget and communicate variances in a timely manner.

Participate in software and service contract negotiations when applicable.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field required

Seven or more years of hands-on project management experience required

Experience managing projects in the financial services industry

Experience executing projects utilizing iterative project management methodologies (Agile, SAFe)

Ability to understand and apply technical concepts to business solutions

Ability to lead a diverse project working team

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
