Robert Half Systems Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description The Systems Analyst II will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand and meet their daily operational needs within Enterprise Asset Management, encompassing SAP and other designated applications. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, and resolving software issues, as well as driving improvements that deliver tangible business benefits.

This role acts as a pivotal link between business units and IT, overseeing the review, documentation, and implementation of system changes as required. Strong customer orientation and deep business acumen are essential, alongside proficiency in configuring and developing specified solutions. Participation in cross-functional teams is necessary for analyzing business challenges and proposing enhancements to existing procedures or processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide application support for operational systems, including SAP EAM modules, Primavera P6, etc.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data and system issues using expertise in SAP PM and/or DM objects (e.g., tables, function modules, BADIs).

• Address service desk tickets promptly and within agreed service level agreements.

• Assist with software upgrades and routine maintenance activities, assessing impacts on business processes, designing solutions, and conducting testing.

• Identify and define software solutions to meet business requirements, gathering needs, designing system changes, documenting functional specifications, collaborating with development teams, testing solutions, and preparing user documentation.

• Develop reporting capabilities, including ad hoc data analysis, to support business needs.

• Contribute to business application requirements planning.

• Conduct integration testing and support user acceptance testing in collaboration with business users.

• Participate in application performance optimization efforts.

• Fulfill miscellaneous operational tasks as required (e.g., generating reports, executing queries, assisting with data loads, responding to helpdesk requests).

• Assist with application disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.

• Establish and adhere to departmental standards and procedures.

• Maintain current knowledge and skills aligned with industry trends and advancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum five years of experience supporting SAP applications.

• Preferably, at least two years of experience with one or more of the following applications:

o SAP Enterprise Asset Management/Plant Maintenance

o SAP Device Management

o Customer Information Systems & Billing

o Work Management Requirements SAP, Enterprise Asset Management, Primavera, P6, Mobile Device Management, System Analysis Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
