The principal role of the Senior Staff Project Manager is to plan, initiate, and lead mid-large scale service programs to ensure projects meet business requirements and impact. The successful program manager is encouraged to provide thought leadership to project workstream leaders & executive sponsors, while demonstrating an eye for the tactical elements of projects.

Primary responsibilities include development of schedules, understanding critical path, setting objectives, scope, identification and raising of risks. Additionally, the program manager will need to manage/coordinate resources and team members, report project progress and cost targets are met, while communicating effectively with all collaborators. This role will be a part of the Project Management Office.

Location: US - Houston, TX - Remote

Hours: Standard Day Shift – Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a thought partner to members of the divisional leadership team & help to translate leadership visions into defined objectives & executable plans by fleshing out key ideas, assumptions & projections; ultimately building out the entire vision (prioritization, work plans, timelines, & financial outcomes) for leadership input/approval

  • Develop detailed plans for strategic and/or business critical projects including information such as project charter, objectives, scope, coordinating teams to drive impact and project acceleration.

  • Analyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects.

  • Define clear tasks, roles and responsibilities for team members required for specific projects or initiatives.

  • Ensure all project team members are actively working toward established achievements and results, and ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Establish and implement a project communication plan and develop information communication procedures.

  • Prepare timely project status reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information, and advancing risks for key partners.

  • Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans in conjunction with business principals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Management, Marketing, Healthcare, or related field.

  • 3 years’ experience working in Life Science, Healthcare, Service, or other related industries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a lead role leading interpersonal level projects with; successful completion of cross-functional project/program development and delivery.

  • Inspirational leadership style & positive relationship building mentality.

  • Lead project status & alignment reviews while handling interdependencies through operating mechanisms.

  • Facilitates the creation of project plans & timelines, operating mechanisms, dashboards & financial scorecards for each initiative to keep executive leaders current on progress & potential red flags.

  • Must have effective oral & written communication & executive presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage & influence strong leadership personalities while maintaining strong professional bonds.

  • Self-starter who has a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and comfortability with operating from a leadership position

  • Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution a plus

  • Ability to travel (0 - 15%)
