Senior Mechanical Engineer

At TWD Technologies, we are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer. This position is based out of Denver, Colorado.  This role will be full time for a Refinery Turnaround and can be fully remote and at site support.  This position would be long term support.  The execution date of our turnaround is March 2026. 

Job Summary

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing and execution of various aspects of mechanical engineering, piping engineering and design support.  This will include participating as a member of dynamic project teams with a wide range of types of tasks.

Job Duties

  • Perform all or some of the following: organize/plan jobs, write/review specifications, write technical bid evaluations, prepare/maintain schedules, develop/monitor estimates and manpower forecasts, work with project/client/field, material procurement, permit, and subcontract activities.

  • Utilize vendor data and work with personnel from other disciplines as required for the performance of designs. Utilize/perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines.

  • Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations and industry practices, etc.

  • Preparation of Scope of Work and construction work packages (CWP’s).

  • Preparation of Scope of Work and Contractor Bid documentation packages.

  • Assisting in the ongoing development of TWD internal systems to improve our quality and efficiency of delivering effective projects to clients.

  • General support to the Mechanical Engineering discipline.

  •  Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.

  • Site experience within the Metals industry.

  • 10 years + experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

  • Experience with Solidworks & AutoCad.

  • Equipment Design, conveyors experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Project).

  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, and experience in a client facing role is strongly preferred.
