Thermo Fisher Scientific has an immediate need for an expert and dynamic Senior Financial Analyst . As part of the Business Transformation Organization “BTO” & Global Operations Finance team, you will partner with the Operations BTO team to deliver company cost savings through consolidation of sites, product line transfers, driving distribution and warehouse efficiencies, supporting strategic investments and growth initiatives, and the integration of new acquisitions into Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position plays an integral role in the financial analysis for our business expansion and network strategy projects.

You will conduct business opportunity and scenario analysis, due diligence, planning, management of approval processes, and project implementation. To be successful you will need to project-manage multiple initiatives, translate quantitative and qualitative concepts into financial models and metrics, and have ability to analyze all parts of the P&L.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP, E1, Hyperion Planning will be helpful

  • Project management, financial analysis, financial modeling, and synergy savings forecasting

  • Perform return on investment analysis and justifications for manufacturing site investment and cost reduction projects

  • Strong business partnership, project management, and financial modeling - partnering heavily with BTO, Global Operations, Finance & Accounting, and other cross-functional teams

  • Interface effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment with all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrate judgment, tact, and subtlety in dealing with internal customers

  • Possess problem solving skills and be results oriented

  • Ad-hoc tasks & analysis will be a routine part of this position

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required

  • 5+ years of business partnership in a finance role

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong analytical/problem-solving and financial modeling skills

  • Ability to work with minimal direction while performing a variety of complex and non-routine tasks

  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to pull and analyze data is a must
