Project Coordinator - Schnarrs
This position is for two years, with the potential to extend beyond this period based on funding and performance, to support a study funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. The study will develop a measure of organizational trustworthiness and is being conducted in collaboration with The Hastings Center the leading bioethics research institute and ethics center committed to advancing health, science, and technology.
The role includes leading qualitative data analysis of world café data, co-leading the human-centered design processes in Aim 2 with our TRUST TEAM members, managing day-to-day operations for data collection, and overseeing survey data collection in collaboration with our partners at The Hastings Center and study partners.
- Expertise in qualitative data collection and analysis as demonstrated through advanced training and publications as lead author or co-author responsible for data collection or analysis.
- Proven ability to lead data collection and analysis efforts with limited guidance from project leadership and senior staff.
- Proficient in qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, Dedoose)
- Experience in developing and implementing study protocols (including IRB submissions)
- Experience training and supervising others in conducting qualitative research.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with survey research and/or scale development research.
- Familiarity with REDCap or other survey software.
- Background or interest in grant writing.
Experience with human centered design methods.
Job Summary
Performs research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data and data sets utilizing advanced statistical methods to mine and analyze complex and unstructured data sets. Offers complex analysis and utilizes advanced algorithms and statistical software. Adheres to all protocols.
Essential Functions
- Train and support study team members in qualitative and quantitative data collection, community engagement, and dissemination practices.
- Conduct in-depth interviews and focus groups, adhering to study protocols.
- Lead qualitative analysis and support quantitative data analysis.
- Support the development of data collection instruments (e.g., interview scripts, surveys)
- Lead and support grant-writing efforts,
- Initiate and conduct independent research projects under the mentorship of PI Dr. Schnarrs.
Physical Effort
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to ambulate between buildings on campus. Able to lift/move items weighing 20lbs.
