Pet Data Engineer II Job Summary

Evaluates business requirements, creates data ingestion processes and modeling, and supports databases and relevant services. Ensures data quality and delivery. Supports data analysts and scientists with research and consulting.

Essential Functions

This Data Engineer position will support a team of faculty investigators, staff data scientists, and medical imaging informatics specialists engaged in neuroimaging research. The successful candidate will be familiar with common medical image modalities (e.g. PET and MRI), formats (e.g. DICOM, NiFTI), metadata, and terminology. Responsibilities include data conditioning, consolidation, workflow optimization and automation, and quality control. Previous experience with imaging informatics platforms such as XNAT or Flywheel and container services such as Docker is highly desirable. Experience with RedCap, SAS, and SQL databases is also desirable.
