Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a service-related role. This position involves delivering and installing HVAC equipment, ensuring proper operation, and providing exceptional customer service. We offer competitive starting wages with a high probability of raises and promotions after proven skillsets and certain metrics. There is consideration for higher starting wages with HVAC classes, licenses, clearances, diesel tech, or environmental certifications. Responsibilities
Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment and train authorized operators/customers on the safe use of the equipment.
Direct customers to sign appropriate paperwork and keep track of serial numbers.
Troubleshoot the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any rental equipment.
Operate company vehicle safely and adhere to all safety policies.
Clean and test returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance standards are met.
Complete appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
Install flexible gas hose for both propane and natural gas applications.
Implement proper and safe procedures to check gas connections.
Collaborate with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
Be on call for emergency service on a rotating schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers
Basic math skills
Mechanical inclination
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be at least 21 years or older
Willingness to work some after-hours and weekends during peak times
