POSITION SNAPSHOT

  • Title: Sales Associate

  • Location: Pittsburgh, PA

  • Responsibilities: Develop and source leads, Prospect research, Networking, Track communications in Salesforce

    POSITION DETAILS

Expect your typical day as a Sales Associate to be focused on the following initiatives

  • Lead Generation: Develop and execute a proactive strategy to source leads, identifying targets and decision-makers. Conduct research to create and maintain target prospect lists by market segment, buyer persona, buying criteria, competitor, and renewal. Schedule new business sales appointments for Sales Consultants through a multi-touch prospecting effort (Phone, Email, LinkedIn, Mail, in-person drops).

  • Networking: Attend client-facing accountability/renewal meetings. Learn and embrace the process of managing accounts, working with service teams, and developing insurance expertise. Develop a personal network of contacts for the long-term sourcing of prospects through professional referrals and networking.

  • CRM Management: Track and input all activity in internal CRM (Salesforce).

  • Minimum of 1 year of sales experience required

  • Property & Casualty agency license preferred

  • Must be obtained 90 days post hire

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • B2B sales experience in a complex decision-making environment preferred

  • Excellent professional communication skills, such as listening, speaking, and writing

  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure 

  • Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere

  • Self-motivated and goal oriented

  • Willingness and ability to learn

  • Proficient in office technology, such as Microsoft Office products 

  • Exposure to Salesforce.com or another CRM system preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance principles and practices

  • Excellent professional communication skills such as listening, speaking, and writing

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure

  • Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere

  • Proficient in office technology, such as Microsoft Office products
