Clinical Research Coordinator

 

The Clinical Research Coordinator under Dr. Juliane Beier of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition will involve the sampling of biospecimens and maintenance of the biobank. This position will involve individual travel to East Palestine, OH for the sampling of biospecimens under Dr. Juliane Beier. - https://profiles.dom.pitt.edu/gi/faculty_info.aspx/Beier6959

Job Summary

 

Conducts research assessments on study participants. Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Assists with training staff. Ensures adherence to protocols and corrects issues with data collection.

Essential Functions

    • Forms laboratory testing and some analysis, including organizes, prepares, and tests multiple types of specimen samples.
    • Operates and maintains applicable laboratory equipment for job functions. Keeps detailed, accurate, and timely data and logbooks.
    • Organizes and documents results.
    • Sterilizes, maintains, and cleans lab equipment; prepares work areas; and maintains cleanliness throughout laboratory.

Physical Effort

Must be able to conduct sampling of biospecimens.
