Clinical Research Coordinator

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to work on clinical research trials under the supervision of Dr. Samir Saba. The research trials involve patients with cardiac arrhythmia conditions who require cardiac device implantations or ablation procedures.

Job Summary

Assists with and adheres to Institutional Review Board (IRB) renewal, modification, and approved protocols. Recruits research subjects and conducts interviews and research assessments.

Essential Functions

Tasks include (1) patient screening, (2) recruiting patients, (3) consenting patients into clinical trials as well as (4) performing follow-up visits as per research protocols and (5) filling research documentation and uploading them to the appropriate research sites.

Physical Effort

Candidate will need to be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
