DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Arconic is currently in search of Aluminum Supply Chain Specialist to join our Procurement Team in Pittsburgh, PA, Alcoa, TN, Lancaster, PA, or Davenport, IA.

RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibilities  * Manage the flow of Primary aluminum, aluminum rolling slab and aluminum billet, into the North American Arconic facilities and ensure both Arconic and supplier requirements are met including all logistical support. * Execute the day-to-day purchasing and logistical activities for these aluminum products.  * Manage the flow of aluminum products from Arconic' s defined suppliers to the operational facilities for consumption.  * Coordinate with the operational facilities to understand the demand and delivery requirements for their aluminum products and will execute against existing commercial agreements for delivery. * Ensure the alignment of the Purchasing and Accounts Payables transactions to the commercial agreements.  * Schedule and manage the transportation of materials from our suppliers to the point of consumption in a cost-effective manner.  * Take an active leading role in the buying process. The Specialist will implement the business sourcing strategy when sourcing material within the established scope, identify opportunities to rationalize spend, implement optimized processes, provide analytical support, and coordinate the day-to-day activities for a defined set of locations or commodities.  * Key Objectives  * Procurement Process Cost Reduction: The Specialist should strive for procurement process optimization and waste elimination by analyzing transaction trends and implementing methods to automate transactions and improve purchasing and logistical efficiencies. * Purchasing Goods Support Operations: This role is responsible for ensuring the location is supplied with goods and services required to maintain continuous operation, as required by business conditions. The specialist is responsible for weighing appropriate risk factors when making buy/supply decisions and coordinating that information with location stakeholders and customers.  * This individual is responsible to ensure the timely and accurate PO issuance, delivery, receipt, and payment of materials to our suppliers. Failure to deliver on these could result in significant cost penalties or increases, or lack of supply with greater impacts to the production processes.  * Compliance: The specialist is responsible for compliance with all applicable Arconic standards and local regulations for the location. Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the compliance requirements within his/her buying team. The individual in this role may be required to provide data for procurement related ASAT (Arconic Self-Assessment Tool, which requires us to interna ly test processes and controls on an ongoing basis), customer ISO (quality and standardization practices), and other audit protocols required by the business. The specialist is also accountable for any corrective actions generated by audits affecting buying activities at that location.     

QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications  * Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or accounting from an accredited college or university * 3 years' experience in managing supply chain / logistics for large multi-national organization * Experience with multi-functioning procurement background such as buy/supply/pay practices conducted, and the administrative processes used to support them * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. * This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.   Preferred Qualifications  * Master's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or accounting from an accredited college or university * Knowledge of international ocean freight / Maritime industry practice, incoterms, and shipping * Experience as a mid-level supply chain / commodity analysis  * Working knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP system
