We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Clerk to join our team! This role involves a variety of clerical duties, including computer operations, office support, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, self-sufficient, and can handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and finalize reports, statements, letters, and memoranda. * Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries and assist visitors. * Process and log permit applications; distribute for review and approval. * Maintain and organize complex filing systems. * Schedule inspections and update records in the system. * Draft correspondence for Council meetings and departmental use. * Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software for documentation.
What We're Looking For:
* Strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. * High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred). * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. * High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation. * Exceptional customer service skills for interacting with the public.
Qualifications:
* Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. * Experience: Prior administrative or clerical experience preferred. * Specialized training in computer operations is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional walking, lifting, and carrying (up to 10 lbs). * Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office, with occasional outdoor tasks.
