Quality Control Supervisor, reporting to QC Management, that is responsible for the execution of Final Assembly Line (FAL) production QC tasks and responsibilities. This includes teaming with Production Supervision to ensure technician understanding and compliance to quality, FOD and tool control procedures.                              

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Product Inspection (50%): Supervise and execute all product line inspection requirements. Includes setting inspector goals and monitoring performance. Train and mentor inspectors to perform and continuously improve.

  • Quality System Execution (20%): Analyze inspection data, and input from technicians and inspectors, to identify production improvement and production line efficiency opportunities. Communicate these to QC, Production and Production Support Management. Through Product Inspection Team, monitor FAL improvements to ensure compliance, reporting non-compliances to QC and Production management.

  • Daily Management (20%): Lead daily crew start-up meetings. Participate in all applicable production line and production support team supervisor action meetings. Ensure that all product QC inspection actions are worked in a timely and effective manner. Lead aircraft "Transfer to Flight Line" meetings. 

  • Customer Focus (10%): Includes both internal and external customers.

          • External: Meet customer contractual requirements (e.g. joint inspections, performance monitoring, etc.). Build trusting relationships. 

          • Internal: Seek continuous feedback from Flight Line QC regarding aircraft quality. Implement containment/corrective actions as required. Build strong relationships

            with Production and Production Support supervision. 

        

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma; Applicable aviation, quality control and military training.

     

     Experience:

  • Experience in an aviation manufacturing quality environment.

  • Experience in Leonardo Helicopter Product Quality Control. 

  • AW139 production experience preferred.

  • Civil aviation aircraft regulatory/certification experience considered a plus.  

     

Competencies and Attributes:

  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft PC-based software, Production Systems (e.g. SAP, FAST)..

  • Must possess strong QC technical and leadership skills

  • Strong Verbal and Written communication skills.

  • Must be able to support overtime as business needs require.
