Summary: The Clinical Research Project Associate in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, will work under direct supervision of the Director, CRORA with work directed by the Principal Investigators to provide research support requiring the application of standard clinical research practices and techniques. The Clinical Research Project Associate will assist with specific research tasks associated with ongoing clinical research projects such as preparing IRB submissions, screening and enrolling participants into research studies, and collecting and entering study data using Good Clinical Practice techniques. Essential Functions of Position: *  Assist with screening, tracking and enrolling patients in active clinical trials; *  Obtain informed consent; *  Scheduling subjects for visits; *  Perform basic clinical assessments; *  IRB submissions; *  Act as the primary contact for study sponsors and participants; *  Process and ship laboratory specimens; *  Interact with study sponsors, faculty and staff; *  Collect and enter study data into study database; *  Assist with start-up activities for new studies; *  Performs other duties as assigned, which could include writing drafts for papers. Required skills and abilities: **Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite including spreadsheet and database software programs. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse constituent population. *Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills. *Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a dynamic work environment. *Ability to work independently and as part of a team. *Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet study needs (occasional early morning/evening/weekend) Preferred: * Degree in health-related field *Research experience a plus This position requires a background check. This is a grant funded position.
