PA Surface Transportation Market Leader

About the Role: As the Pennsylvania Surface Transportation Market Leader, you will be at the forefront of our strategic initiatives, driving business development activities and supporting the realization of our growth objectives. Collaborating closely with Regional Managers/Office Managers, Technical Practice Leaders, and our talented engineering staff, you will be instrumental in making informed business decisions, overseeing opportunity tracking and capture planning, monitoring strategic goals, and mentoring our staff to enhance their business development prowess.

Qualifications: We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in operations and project management, coupled with a deep understanding of the procurement processes within Pennsylvania, including PennDOT, PA Turnpike Commission, and other city/municipal clients. Your role can extend beyond regional boundaries, as you work hand-in-hand with the Executive Leadership team to shape and execute our strategic plan and growth goals.

Responsibilities: Business Development:  * Identification and evaluation of teaming partners; setting-up and attending teaming meetings; and developing strategic teaming agreements for statewide success.  * Develop strategy and goals for client meetings; represent senior leadership through attendance at client meetings.  * Ownership of the sales funnel and tracking statewide opportunities to meet growth goals.  * Review of past performance and development of strategies for improvement.  * Lead capture planning activities and develop strategic tactics for targeted pursuits.  * Attend industry events in eastern Pennsylvania and Harrisburg, and other locations if necessary.

Operational:  * Collaborate with PA-based Regional Managers and Office Managers and Surface Transportation Practice Leaders to drive operational performance.  * Support PA-based Surface Transportation operations including staffing needs, project execution and performance.

Financial:  * Effectively understand financial metrics and their impacts on meeting growth goals.

Requirements :  * Engineering Degree; master's degree and/or continuing education preferred.  * Professional Engineering license in Pennsylvania  * 20+ years of industry experience  * 10+ years of business development experience  * Previous Project Management experience  * Experience with PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission  * Ability to work with a team in an in-person and virtual environment.
